What to expect…
Before your session:
In order to get the most out of your bodywork session, it is beneficial to be well hydrated, to have eaten a light meal an hour or so prior, and to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time so we can check in and you can use the bathroom prior to getting started. If it is your initial session, please arrive ten minutes early in order to review intake paperwork. This is also a great time for you to ask any questions you may have.
After the initial intake, you will be given instructions on how to get ready for your session. If you are receiving a massage, you will be instructed to undress to your comfort level, after I leave the room, and lie face down on the table underneath the sheet. If you are receiving Reiki, you will lie on the table fully clothed and underneath a blanket, if preferred. I will leave the room to wash up while you get situated on the table and knock before reentering to be sure you are comfortably covered on the table.
During your session:
Massage-During your massage your body will be draped except for the part of the body that is being massaged. You are encouraged to communicate regarding your preference of pressure, whether you are comfortably warm, and any other concerns you may have. It is also up to you whether or not you would like conversation during your session. I will follow your lead.
Reiki-Please dress in comfortable clothing, as you will lie on the table fully clothed.
After your session:
After your session is complete, you will be instructed to take your time getting up from the table. Once you are fully clothed, you will open the door so that I know you are dressed and ready to review your session. I will bring you water and we will review your session. Please drink plenty of water throughout the day after your session, as staying hydrated is an important part of integrating your bodywork session.
Location & Parking
We are located at 1607 Martin Street South, Suite 5 in the two-story building to the left of Pell City Coffee Shop. Suite 5 is on the second floor on the right. The stairs are on the left of the building in front of Jazz‘m Up Pet Salon. There should be ample parking out front, but if not, there is more parking around back.
